Reporting for the Portland Business Journal, his beat includes footwear, apparel and banking; Matthew also serves as adjunct faculty at the University of Portland. His ability to connect with reluctant leaders and his insights into Portland’s business community have proved invaluable again and again; in 2015 Matthew received the Bruce Baer Investigative Reporting award for his work uncovering massive financial corporate fraud in the Metro Area. Andrew completed his Master’s in Liberal Arts at Reed College and has been working as a journalist steeped in the local business scene for nearly twenty years.
